Our beautiful apartment is guest-rated as a 5 star location. Just a short walk from Davis Square, you can jump on the subway and soon be at Harvard Square or MIT. A few stops after MIT you cross over the river into Boston. Off-street private parking for one car is included, an exceptional amenity in this neighborhood.

Location
Davis Square is everyone's favorite neighborhood. It's a great place to hang out, with everything anyone could want: great independent coffee shops, good diverse places to eat — from excellent ethnic food to some of Boston Magazine's "Best Of" — and unique opportunities for strolling and shopping (even benches if you just want to people-watch). Our famous Somerville Theater offers movies and live performances. You can even grocery shop in Davis Square, finding basic items at bfresh, or fresh pasta, excellent home-made sauces and other Italian Deli items from Dave's Fresh Pasta, 3 minutes from home.
Your Hosts (And Neighbors) Johno & Gilly
We were both born and raised in South Africa. We moved to Davis Square in 1983 and have never considered living anywhere else. We both have science professional backgrounds. Gilly is an education researcher, working to improve science teaching and learning in US schools. After a stint in environmental nonprofit management and fundraising, Johno with a life-long love of plants, now designs gardens. Our home has hosted hundreds of AirBnb visitors over five years. We now want a more leisurely pace hosting longer-term guests.
